Marcia Romero is the Communications Specialist for CoBiz Financial where she manages the company’s multi-million community relations portfolio. Her professional experience includes corporate social responsibility platforms, integrated client and community relationship building; special event planning, promotion and execution; multi-faceted internal and external communications strategies; community outreach partnerships; fundraising and extensive database management.

Marcia has a passion for the performing dance arts where she has studied and performed in a professional capacity, various genres of dance since she was a child. Additionally, she is actively involved in the Colorado community where she serves on the boards for Fiesta Colorado Dance Company, Latin American Educational Foundation and on the Advisory Board of the Newman Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Denver.

Marcia recently completed her fellowship from the University of Denver’s prestigious Latino Leadership Institute, a year-long intensive leadership program for tenured professionals. She is also a graduate of the Hispanic Chamber Foundation’s Leadership Development Program. She holds a degree from the University of Denver with a BSBA in International Business and a minor in Spanish. Her educational and personal experiences have taken her from a study abroad at Mexico City’s National Autonomous University to the serving as a renowned member of the Denver Broncos Cheerleaders during the Denver Super Bowl years in the late ‘90s.
