Meredith Hutson is the Founder and Executive Director of Presenting Denver, a 501(c)3 organization based in Denver, Colorado whose mission is to support the art of dance through increased public exposure and the appreciation of movement as an innovative art form. Originally from Oklahoma City, Meredith attended Classen School of Advanced Studies where she majored in visual arts while she also performed with Theatre Upon A Star Dance Swan. Continuing her passion for both art and dance, Meredith graduated from the University of New Mexico with a BA in Dance, a BAFA in Art Studio, and was named the Outstanding Senior Student in the Department of Theatre and Dance by the College of Fine Arts. Prior to founding Presenting Denver, Meredith worked in the membership department at the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, membership in the fitness industry, danced for Louder Than Words Dancetheatre in Denver and Perpetual Motion Dance in Oklahoma City. Currently Meredith serves as the Chair of the Colorado Business Committee for the Arts Leadership Arts Alumni Network Committee (LAAN) and is a member of the Community Advisory Board of The Robert and Judi Newman Center for the Performing Arts. Meredith is also a 2012 graduate of the CBCA Leadership Arts Program and a 2013 graduate of the Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation Legacy Denver Program. Previous board and community involvement included the Denver Independent Choreographers Project (2011-2014) and the Dean’s Advisory Council for the UCD College of Arts and Media (2012-2015). She lives in the Golden Triangle of Denver with her husband L. Roger Hutson.
