COVID-19 Health and Safety Procedures

The Newman Center for the Performing Arts is thrilled to welcome you back to our venue!

The University of Denver has taken a multi-layered approach in response to the COVID-19 pandemic with a primary focus on protecting and promoting the health and well-being of its students, faculty, staff, patrons, and visiting artists. In consultation with DU’s health care partner, National Jewish Health, and consistent with guidance from federal, state and local public health agencies, DU has implemented a variety of mitigation measures across campus, including requiring face coverings, as well as mandatory testing and vaccination requirements for students and employees. Throughout the Newman Center, DU is using a high-volume, low-velocity ventilation system with HEPA air filtration.

As of March 17, all vaccination and mask requirements at the Newman Center for the Performing Arts have been lifted. All face coverings will be optional in the venue and we ask our guests to respect those who continue to wear face coverings as a precaution. We encourage patrons to continue to make smart decisions regarding their health and to contact our box office should you feel ill and unable to attend one of the performances. Note that certain events might require vaccinations checks and face coverings. If that is the case, this will be made clear on the event page for the show on newmancenterpresents.com.

We are so grateful for your cooperation as we welcome the performing arts back to the stages of the Newman Center. We look forward to connecting with you through our collective love of the arts.
