Proxyma-B Quintet had its beginnings \;at the Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver \;by a stroke of luck\; a randomly assigned chamber group sparked the passionate and dynamic ensemble we know today. Proxyma-B prides themselves on their sonic blend\, cohesion\, and teamwork\, culminating in their signature interstellar sound.

Proxyma-B performs a wide range of genres from modern music to early Romantic. In their contemporary endeavors\, they've collaborated with many current composers such as Remi Inari and Abdo Timejardine-Zomeñ\;o. In the 2024-25 concert season\, Proxyma-B finished as runners-up in the 2025 Lamont Chamber Honors Competition and earned a fellowship for the 2025-26 concert season with the Compass REsonance Boulder.
