Lisa Alcorn is a Senior Account Manager at SE2, a Denver communications agency focused on the issues that impact lives every day. In her role, she leads the day-to-day management of the agency’s work with its largest client, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), focused on tobacco education, prevention and cessation and, concurrently, in partnership with the Colorado Department of Human Services, a new statewide campaign focused on the health and wellbeing of Colorado’s young people. Working closely with the SE2 team, as well as her clients at CDPHE and grantees across the state, Lisa manages SE2’s work to develop campaigns, websites and educational resources to educate the public about the dangers of tobacco use.

After several years with Verve, Lisa transitioned to the agency world, landing at Ruder Finn, a global public relations agency based in New York City. Here, she worked with a diverse roster of clients in industries as diverse as pharmaceuticals, fast-casual restaurants, and global media. Equally diverse was the projects she led: corporate reputation advertising campaigns, earned media and influencer campaigns, managing a global YouTube channel ecosystem, and media relations for a global executive conference series. Lisa spent her first few years in Denver with Greenhouse Partners, a communications agency in Boulder, leading the agency’s media relations efforts, supporting clients in the higher education, non-profit, financial services and beverage industries.

Stemming from a lifelong love of music and performance, Lisa began her career in the music industry. While studying marketing at Michigan State University, Lisa held part-time positions and internships with The Wharton Center for Performing Arts, Meridian Entertainment Group (a regional concert production company), The Verve Music Group, Jazz at Lincoln Center and the Detroit Jazz Festival. Post graduation, she moved from Michigan to New York City to fulfill her dream of working for a major record label. During her time with The Verve Music Group, she supported and promoted both up-and-coming and established artists, built the label’s partnership and music licensing programs, and guided the release of numerous albums as part of the publicity and marketing teams.

Lisa is an active volunteer in the community, often holding leadership roles with organizations that focus on youth development, arts education, health & wellness, and community building, including Step Up Women’s Network, New York Road Runners Young Professionals Committee, Oiselle Volee Running Team, Greenhouse Scholars, Michigan State University Rocky Mountain Region Alumni Board, and Take Note Colorado. She is a Fall 2019 Impact Denver participant.
