The Lamont School of Music students, faculty members and guest artists perform on the concert and recital hall stages of the Robert and Judi Newman Center for the Performing Arts, one of the nation’s most extraordinary campus arts centers. Audiences select from 300 concerts and events each season featuring the repertoires of orchestras, choirs, jazz ensembles, world music and operas.
Kathryn Brown has performed around the globe as concerto soloist, recitalist, and chamber musician. She is widely hailed for her interpretations from Mozart to Gershwin, as well as her premieres of the new music of today.
Jennie's Concert: A Brass Celebration of Music of the West
The Lamont School of Music Brass Department will celebrate the beautiful landscapes of the American West with "Music of the West." The program includes "Western Fanfare" by Eric Ewazen, "Desert Suite" by Jaqueline Sellers, and more.
This concert, entitled "Nights in Tobago," will feature Steel Drum professor Tom Miller and the Lamont Steel Drum Ensemble. The program includes new original works by Tom Miller written for steel drum ensemble and wind ensemble.
