Hung Dance: BIRDY
Founded in 2017 by LAI Hung-chung, Taiwan’s Hung Dance blends Peking Opera, Tai Chi, and contemporary dance. Their award-winning work “Birdy”—seen in 21 sold-out shows at Avignon OFF and the 91st ADF—features the symbolic Ling Zi and Rattan pole, exploring freedom, constraint, and identity with poetic power.
