Symphony of the Rockies Masterful Miniatures Series: Haydn's Distraction

Experience Symphony of the Rockies up close in an evening of masterfully crafted works, culminating in Haydn's witty and whimsical Symphony No. 60 "Il Distratto." This playfully unpredictable piece anchors a program full of lyrical beauty and surprising charm.
Also featuring Barber's soul-stirring Adagio for Strings, Larsson's bold Trombone Concerto performed by principal trombonist Corey Nance, and Debussy's ethereal Danses sacree et profane featuring principal harpist Hillary Schefter.

Zlata Chochieva, Piano
In her highly anticipated FCM debut, Russian pianist Zlata Chochieva brings her deep passion for chamber music to this compelling musical journey. Alongside Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 13, Op. 27 and selections from Schumann’s Fantasiestücke, she explores the vivid soundscapes of Bartók, Bach, Sibelius, Scriabin, and Liszt. “The program is my own artistic response to a recital program Sergei Rachmaninov himself enjoyed performing, celebrating the idea and spirit of the fantasy.”

World Ballet Company: Cinderella
Based in Los Angeles, and led by Sasha Gorskaya and Gulya Hartwick, the World Ballet Company presents the most beloved and iconic ballets of our time in cities nationwide. Driven by the belief that ballet is for everyone, performances appeal to newcomers and seasoned ballet goers alike. The company attracts many international artists and comprises renowned professional dancers representing over ten countries.
