Kick off the holidays with a feast for the senses! Join Denver’s Latinx dance ensemble ArtistiCO on a tour of Christmas celebrations throughout the country of Mexico. The dances performed will feature original choreography based on traditional dances from the Mexican dance masters.
The country's oldest collegiate a cappella group is one of Yale's most celebrated traditions going back to 1909. Singing a mixture of old Yale tunes, jazz standards, and other hits from across the decades, the Whiffenpoofs have been seen on such shows as Glee, Saturday Night Live, and 60 Minutes.
French-Algerian choreographer Hervé Koubi's work is a highly physical, stunningly fluid piece with powerful Sufi imagery. Multifaceted American jazz pianist and composer Emmet Cohen is one of his generation’s pivotal figures in music. Creator of the Masters Legacy Series and the live-streamed “Live From Emmet’s Place,” his work has reached millions. Cohen makes his first Newman Center appearance with bassist Russell Hall and drummer Kyle Poole.
Experience a journey into the soul of island nations of the Pacific and Indian Oceans, meeting an ancient seafaring ancestry and confronting the impacts of climate crisis. Combining music, spoken word and live cinema, the experience is framed in a theatrical narrative with panoramic visuals of the artists’ homelands.

Okareka Dance is one of the leading contemporary Maori (indigenous) dance companies in New Zealand. Their celebrated work Mana Wahine (Powerful Women) reflects cultural beliefs, colonial history, and the role of women, using contemporary and Maori dance and motifs in a vibrant and moving multi-media performance.
The Sphinx Virtuosi is a dynamic and inspiring self-conducted chamber orchestra entirely comprised of Black and Latinx artists, evolving and transforming the face of classical music. Their program, featuring works by Nokothula Ngwenyama, Xavier Foley, and Coleridge Taylor Perkinson, highlights innovative music by composers of color past and present.
Deemed a vocalist of unerring instinct” by The New York Times, Grammy award-winning artist Aoife O’Donovan has released three critically acclaimed and boundary-blurring solo albums including 2022’s “Age of Apathy”;praised as “stunning” (Rolling Stone). Aoife will be joined by Hawktail, an acoustic music supergroup composed of bassist Paul Kowert, fiddler Brittany Haas, guitarist Jordan Tice, and mandolinist Dominick Leslie.

The seven-time Grammy award-winning Maria Schneider Orchestra has been hailed by critics as “evocative, majestic, magical, heart-stoppingly gorgeous and beyond categorization.” In 2019, the National Endowment for the Arts named Schneider an NEA Jazz Master. Schneider’s latest album, “Data Lords,” won the Grammy for Large Jazz Ensemble Album in 2021.
