The Lamont School of Music students, faculty members and guest artists perform on the concert and recital hall stages of the Robert and Judi Newman Center for the Performing Arts, one of the nation’s most extraordinary campus arts centers. Audiences select from 300 concerts and events each season featuring the repertoires of orchestras, choirs, jazz ensembles, world music and operas.
Basil Vendryes, viola, takes the stage with string colleagues to present a program of Mozart and Mendelssohn, featuring the Mendelssohn String Quintet in B-flat.
Conducted by Lawrence Golan and directed by Matthew Plenk, this beloved operetta is filled with sweeping melodies, mistaken identities, and champagne-fueled mischief.
Based in New York City, Lynnli Wang is a performer, teacher, and diversity and inclusion arts advocate. She currently serves as the carillonneur of the Riverside Church, where she plays its 100+ ton, 74-bell carillon.
