Top 10 Local Events in June 2025

Summer is almost here and the Newman Center is here to help you kick-off your arts and culture fix for the month of June! So, grab your water bottle and sunglasses, and come check out our Top 10 arts and cultural picks for June in the Denver-Metro area!

 

1. Swallow Hill - Summer Concert Series. June 4 - July 16. Four Mile Historic Park

Grab chairs, pack a picnic, and join Swallow Hill Music for family-friendly evenings with tributes to your favorite musicians at Four Mile Historic Park.

 

2. Denver Chalk Art Festival. June 7–8. Golden Triangle Creative District

Over 200 artists transform the streets into a colorful open-air gallery with intricate chalk art. This free, family-friendly event also features live entertainment and food vendors.

 

3. & Juliet. June 4-15. Buell Theatre (Denver Center for the Performing Arts)

Created by the Emmy®-winning writer from “Schitt’s Creek,” this hilarious new musical flips the script on the greatest love story ever told. & Juliet asks: what would happen next if Juliet didn’t end it all over Romeo? Get whisked away on a fabulous journey as she ditches her famous ending for a fresh beginning and a second chance at life and love — her way.  

 

4. Film on the Rocks. June 9. Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Enjoy a screening of 2001: A Space Odyssey under the stars, complete with live music and comedy. This is part of a summer series that continues from June - August.

 

5. Juneteenth Music Festival. June 14–15. Five Points Neighborhood

One of the nation's largest Juneteenth celebrations, this festival includes a parade, live performances, art, and vendors, celebrating African American culture and freedom.

 

6. City Park Jazz Concert Series. Beginning June 1. City Park, Denver, CO

Denver's exciting annual City park Jazz Concert Series returns this summer with memorable summer nights to be had. Enjoy free outdoor jazz performances in the park.

 

7. Denver PrideFest.  June 28–29. Civic Center Park

A two-day celebration featuring a parade, live performances, and a 5K run/walk. Denver PrideFest is one of the largest LGBTQ+ pride festivals in the U.S., drawing over 500,000 attendees.

 

8. Chris Fleming. June 28. Newman Center for the Performing Arts

Stand-up comedian Chris Fleming is hitting the road with his all-new tour and will be heading to the Newman Center on Saturday, June 28. Known for his unique blend of humor and relatable storytelling, Chris promises to deliver an unforgettable experience that will leave audiences in stitches.

 

9. JoFoKe & Same Cloth. June 28. Dazzle (Denver Arts Complex)

JoFoKe & Same Cloth is a dynamic, genre-bending ensemble based in Denver, led by the creative force of JoFoKe, a talented Black woman vocalist and songwriter. Known for their innovative approach to music-making, JoFoKe & Same Cloth fuse various genres and musical traditions to craft deeply meaningful art that resonates with audiences.

 

10. Elvis Costello & The Imposters – Radio Soul! Tour. June 29. Bellco Theatre.

Elvis Costello brings his early hits to Denver as part of his 2025 tour, performing songs from his classic albums.
