1. "The Nightmare Before Christmas" Film and live orchestra. October 31 - November 1. Boettcher Concert Hall, Denver Theater.

The public's fascination with Tim Burton's iconic 1993 dark fantasy film The Nightmare Before Christmas hasn't faded since its release. In fact, it's become a tradition to watch Jack Skellington's deliciously dark misadventure on both Halloween and Christmas! Don't miss this film screening accompanied by a live orchestral score.

 

2. Desert Island Discs: Nancy Wilson/Cannonball Adderley & Bill Evans with Tatiana LadyMay Mayfield. November 1. Aurora Fox Arts Center.

Join the Colorado Jazz Orchestra small band for an afternoon celebrating three legendary artists who helped define the sound of modern jazz. Desert Island Discs pays tribute to the timeless music of Nancy Wilson, Cannonball Adderley, and Bill Evans—each a master in their own right. Vocalist Tatiana LadyMay Mayfield brings warmth, style, and soul to the stage. The concert also highlights the joyful, blues-inflected fire of Adderley’s saxophone and the beauty of Evans’ harmonically rich piano stylings. From swinging grooves to haunting ballads, this program is a lush journey through some of the most beloved recordings in jazz history.

4. Denver Arts Week. November 7 - 16. 

Denver Arts Week celebrates the Mile High City's arts and culture scene with hundreds of events around the city. Denver Arts Week will kick off with expanded First Friday Art Walks across the city’s creative neighborhoods, followed by FREE Night at the Museums on Saturday, Nov. 8, when many of Denver’s top cultural institutions will be open for free.

 

5. Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors. November 8 - May 10, 2026. Garner Galleria Theatre, Denver Center for the Performing Arts.

8. The Mile High Tree Presented by Xcel Energy & Xfinity. Nov. 21–Dec. 31. Civic Center Park.

Denver’s holiday season will once again be illuminated by the spectacular Mile High Tree’s dazzling light and music show. Everyone's invited to get close and step inside this brilliantly lit, 110-foot-tall immersive art installation that will be erected on the Great Lawn in Civic Center Park.

Mile High United Way is excited to celebrate the 52nd Mile High United Way Turkey Trot in Washington Park with all of you – the runners and volunteers who help make this Denver’s Greatest Thanksgiving Tradition. Your participation directly supports the critical work of Mile High United Way, providing families with high-quality early learning so kids begin school ready to succeed, connecting young adults to education and workforce development opportunities and ensuring families can meet their basic needs.
