Set in a strict Catholic boarding shool, the play follows four students who secretly perform the forbidden text of Romeo and Juliet. Societal rules and roles dissolve as they explore the depths of the story and characters. Perceptions and understanding are turned upside-down as the fun of play-acting turns serious, and the words and meanings begin to hit home. Throughout the reading, the four students grapple with their own emerging identities and desires, challenging societal norms and authority figures in the process.
