The Lamont School of Music students, faculty members and guest artists perform on the concert and recital hall stages of the Robert and Judi Newman Center for the Performing Arts, one of the nation’s most extraordinary campus arts centers. Audiences select from 300 concerts and events each season featuring the repertoires of orchestras, choirs, jazz ensembles, world music and operas.
The Lamont Wind Ensemble presents “The Dream and the Dreamer,” a powerful musical celebration honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Black History Month. In partnership with the Black American West History Museum and Heritage Center.
The Lamont Choirs return for a luminous winter program featuring works by J.S. Bach, Kirke Meachem, Joan Szymko, René Clausen, Reena Esmail, and Billy Joel.
Jazz & Pop Vocal Rep Ensemble & Abbott Jazz Small Group
The Jazz & Pop Vocal Rep Ensemble is coached by Tatiana Mayfield Brown and Hannah Rodriguez. The evening will also feature a performance by the small group coached by Mike Abbott.
Feature music of Dizack's as well as other modern jazz voices and premieres by Lamont student composers. Conducted by recent Grammy-winner Remy Le Boeuf.
